As a central enterprise of the same age as the reform and opening up, SUMEC has been striving towards “building a listed company respected by investors”, committing to building a “learning and research oriented" board of directors adhering to scientific decision-making based on the corporate governance principles of listed companies and the company’s requirements for strategic development, and constantly exerting the role of the board of directors on determining strategies, making decisions, managing major issues, and steering the direction to continuously improve the governance level since it was relisted. The “Golden Round Table Award” won by the board of directors is the first major award won by SUMEC in the governance of listed companies, which demonstrates the recognition and affirmation by society of SUMEC’s insistence on building a high-quality board of directors and continuously improving its governance level.

In the future, faced with a new situation of development and pattern of competition, SUMEC will continue to uphold the concept of high-quality development and strengthen the construction of its board of directors around the strategic core of “serving as the organizer and integrator of the global industrial chain”. At the same time, SUMEC will speed up its industrial upgrading, enhance its core capabilities, and make unremitting efforts to become a listed company highly respected by investors.
