Myanmar SUMEC Win Win Garments Shwe Pyi Thar Factory Starts Business

On October 27, 2017, the opening ceremony of Myanmar SUMEC Win Win Garments Shwe Pyi Thar Factory was officially launched. Hong Liang, the ambassador of Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in Myanmar, Aotu, Vice-minister of Ministry of Commerce of Myanmar, Yang Yongqing, Chairman of SUMEC Group Corporation (herein after referred to as SUMEC Group), and Fan Wenye, General Manager of SUMEC Textile and Light Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SUMEC Textile & Light Industry) attended the ceremony. Principals of related departments of Yangon Region, the local government of Shwe Pyi Thar Industrial Park, principals of Ethnic Chinese organizations such as Chinese Enterprises Chamber in Myanmar, supplier representatives, and staff representative of Shwe Pyi Thar Factory, totaling 280 people or so, witnessed the celebration together.

Shwe Pyi Thar Factory, which is formally put into operation upon the ceremony, intends to employ 2800 staff with 50 production lines and annual production capacity of over 4,000,000 cotton-padded clothes and jackets, expected to boost exports of related products amounting to nearly USD100,000,000. As the new factory is to begin operation formally, competitive edge of SUMEC clothing industry will get further extended and increasing jobs are going to be offered for the local.
